Virginia Tech on iTunesU

Support

There are three primary methods of support for faculty who are interested in using iTunes U as part of their teaching.  If you are interested in using iTunes U

1. Contact Eddie Watson (edwatson@vt.edu)
To begin with, faculty interested in using iTunes U should contact Eddie Watson, Assistant Director of Educational Technologies.  Eddie will work with you to assess the best way for you to begin using iTunes U and the type and amount of training you will need to get up and running.  He also will have a chance to review the copyright and privacy issues that are affected with iTunes U.

2. Take an FDI course on Podcasting (http://www.fdi.vt.edu)
Each semester, FDI offers courses on creating Podcasts.  The file format used for Podcasting is the same as the one used for iTunes U, and part of that course will review iTunes U configuration.  This course will be a good place to get hands-on experience with creating podcast files.

3. One-on-One Help with the New Media Center (http://www.nmc.vt.edu)
The New Media Center has staff who are fully trained on podcasting technology.  If you get in contact with them, you can ask to have someone train you one-on-one on how to make podcasts and post them to iTunes U.

There are also a few secondary documents provided by Apple that may assist you in your iTunes U efforts:
